Midnight Corkbird
This corkboard was a gift for my little sister.
The Supplies:
- sturdy kind of paper (I used an old school folder)
- patterned paper
- lace
- rubber cement
- blue paint
- plastic white gems
- corkboard
The How To:
- Paint the corkboard.
- While it dries, cut out a template of a bird.
- Trace bird onto patterned paper and cut out birds.
- Use rubber cement to glue lace onto corkboard (as the telephone line) and then glue birds pirched on line.
- Lastly, glue the gems to look like stars.
After this picture, I also added black dots as eyes for the birds. And the bird template has proven useful for other projects. I'm sure you'll see.
Why This Blog
Here's why...
And the title "Craft Curriculum" stems from a joke I made once or twice -
Why didn't I just Major in Martha Stewart?
My hopes for this blog are that I can share my ideas and creations with whatever other crafters are out there. Those who can relate with me when I say I have a weakness overspending in Michael's, the Craft Warehouse, and my favorite, Ben Franklin.
Please Enjoy and give feedback.
- I noticed a pattern in my behavior - I notice patterns.
- I love how simple creations can be so pleasing.
- My free time is consumed with projects.
